  • Lovely Den Haag

I've spent one semester studying there and I enjoyed every day in this wonderful city. It's not as crowded as Amsterdam and they have a wonderful beach, too.

  • De Oude Mol

    1

    Bar

Small like any other place in the Hague. You can easily walk by this bar without noticing it, but you'd miss the great atmosphere and good beers.

  • Scallywags - the restaurant

    2

    Middle Eastern

Great place to eat. The food is more than delicious. They have an every day menu. And the interior is also very original, unlike any other place in The Hague.

  • Filmhuis Den Haag

    3

    Indie Movies

This is such an awesome art-house cinema. They mostly show movies in their original language. Small, but cozy.

  • Piet Heinstraat

    4

    Road

There are some small cafés there, shops selling antiques and bookstores. People seem to be more relaxed than in the city centre.

  • Juni

    5

    Restaurant

This is a cute breakfast and lunch place. Make sure you try their homemade cakes, but their bagels are worth a try, too.

  • Crunch

    6

    Café

If you want a good coffee, while reading your newspaper, this is your place.

  • Pavlov

    7

    Bar

Somewhat sophisticated bar, with all kinds of people there. They have live Jazz on Tuesdays and Sundays.

  • Zaal 3

    8

    Theater

This is not just a theatre, there are lots of things going on. Shouldn't miss this one.

  • Zuiderstrand

    9

    Beach

So much better than the crowded Scheveningen Boardwalk and its beach. Wide sandy beach and on clear days, you can even spot Rotterdam from there.

  • Strandpaviljoen Zuid

    10

    Café

Lovely place, but shut down during winter time. It's right on the beach, so it heavily depends on the weather, if you can reserve yourself a spot.

  • Het Brouw Cafe

    11

    Pub

Outstanding range of beers. Located at the harbor. Good to finish a day at the beach there.

  • Vispaleis

    12

    Seafood

When you're in the Hague, you gotta try some fried fish and ships with pindasaus ( peanut sauce ) or the ordinary mayonnaise. Fast and cheap, too.

  • Stoop Furniture

    13

    Furniture / Home

I like their pottery and ceramics. Even if you don't consider buying a new coffee table, you might wanna have a look inside. It's in Chinatown.

  • Grote Markt

    14

    Plaza

well, this place is just typical dutch style. People hang out there 24/7 it seems.

  • Van Stockum Boekverkopers

    15

    Bookstore

Close to the art academy and central station. They have useful literature on the city, but also a good range of ( dutch ) graphic design and typography books.
