    kate's a pot-smoking record producer who always had this vegan resto as a side project. in its hey day, great bands ate here. if she's there, say hi from us.

    cosy spot overlooking legendary cemetery. good for brunch, lunch, drinks. a regular stop for us despite multiple failed ventures. now run by industry vets.

    we've had many picnics here, where plenty of great danes rest in splendor. do wander. afterwards, check out jægerborsgade - once a shithole, now it's trendy.

    one of my favorite, least pretentious charcuterie and wine bars in town, located on copenhagen's best foodie street. their simple breakfasts are good as well.

    a bit like roberta's in bushwick, mother has been in cph's meatpacking district since 2010. last time i checked, cool kids still digging it. wine bar next door.

    one of my favorite secluded gardens, behind the old royal library that's next to the new royal library (the black diamond). many cigarettes & coffee taken here.

    you've 3 options for theatrical experiences in the middle of town: here at this grand dame; or the lovely new skuespilhuset; or the new opera. they're all great

    the original lagkagehuset (layer cake house). adriana still lusts after their "drømmekage," which means dream cake. i prefer their pastries. an institution.

    many great dive bars in town - we could've told you about fingerbøllet or blomsten - you get eiffel. an unrefined tom waits kind of joint, soon to disappear.

    touring cph's canals by kayak is a GREAT way to see the city. competent guides, small groups, all gear included plus a pitstop for beer. kajakole.dk/en

    on the edge of town along the outer harbor, a relatively new wunderkind on the danish culinary scene. supposed to be sublime. accessible by harbor bus (ferry).
