    one of the major foodie streets of copenhagen. my favorite spots are rist (coffee), granola (breakfast), falernum (wine bar) and cofoco (see separate entry).

    why is a kiosk on the list?! because this is the best kiosk in the history of the world. the king of kiosks and corner shops. as you'll likely be nearby, do go.

    another spot for craft beer lovers. alas, copenhagen has excellent beer establishments in abundance. meatpacking district address, basement setting. hygge.

  • Frederiksberg Have



    an excellent public garden that's quite large and worth many hours of exploring. several restaurants, cafés, a few theaters near entrance by frederiksberg allé.

  • Mikkeller Baghaven



    another mikkeller outpost. a harbourfront barrel room with outdoor terraces & views. house brands from the brewer (whose brother is evil twin breweries, fwiw).

    if you're on refshaleøen (refshale island) amongst the de-commissioned shipyards and warehouses, then here's a sublime spot for wine al fresco... with a sauna!

    when you want a proper sit down coffee with friends or a very decent brunch, then here you go.

    we used to live near here and would jog the ramparts three times a week. it's an old fort (nelson once bombed it) now located in the midst of urban change.

    a rather small square with lots of cafés and hidden passageways (look carefully). hundreds of years ago, public executions were held here. how times change.
