  • Bertrams Hotel Guldsmeden

    1

    Hotel

my favourite small hotel. four stories, very personalized service, located in the vesterbro neighbourhood, great organic breakfast with homemade breads!

  • Axel Guldsmeden Hotel

    2

    Hotel

the word guldsmeden means both dragonfly and jeweler, ie. goldsmith (like most danish words, it has two meanings)... axel is "an elegant palace of danish chic!"

  • Hotel SP34

    3

    Hotel

small rooms with very personal touches. there’s a basement restaurant and bar, as well as a rooftop terrace. located in the city’s latin quarter. not cheap.

  • Babette Guldsmeden Hotel

    4

    Hotel

part of the guldsmeden chain. i haven't stayed here but i love their other hotels in copenhagen. this one is located on the north side of town, near nyhavn.

  • Hotel Phoenix Copenhagen

    5

    Hotel

an older, grander hotel, with bigger rooms than your standard offering. elegant and old school. located very close to the royal residences of amalienborg.

  • Andersen Hotel Copenhagen

    6

    Hotel

described as warm not cool, with customer service to match. a 73-room boutique hotel located very close to the central station, ask for courtyard-facing rooms.

  • Nimb Hotel

    7

    Hotel

never thought i’d recommend a hotel located in tivoli, but the nimb has been upgraded. the moorish-themed palace has been transformed into a design hotel.

  • Hotel D'Angleterre

    8

    Hotel

to many copenhageners, this 18th-century behemoth is the most prestigious place to stay in town, especially after its massive renovation. a splurge, yes.

  • Avenue Hotel

    9

    Hotel

clean, modern, not too pricy, with small well-equipped rooms. the kind of place that speaks to american travelers, especially the dot com conference crowd.

  • Skt. Petri

    10

    Hotel

a place where rock stars stay. wonderful location in middle of the latin quarter. prestigious, over designed, exclusive, but people like it. it’s always full.

  • Savoy Hotel

    11

    Hotel

small hotel with an art nouveau façade in funky part of town. prices are mid-range but i've heard that the rooms are not spectacular. perhaps a bit hit or miss?

  • Radisson Blu Royal

    12

    Hotel

on the list because of its connection to arne jacobsen, but the rooms no longer truly represent his aesthetics, and that’s why i rarely recommend staying here.

  • Hotel Christian IV

    13

    Hotel

a decent plan B that won’t destroy your bank account. centrally located close to kongens have (the royal gardens), just off the main pedestrian thoroughfares.

  • Hotel Tiffany

    14

    Hotel

seems like a cute little place with 30 rooms, each with kitchenettes. a very basic hotel that’s “filled with character” is how lonely planet describes it.

  • CPH Living

    15

    Hotel

a floating hotel! minimalist interiors, floor to ceiling windows, terraces with views, but location on the river is also close to a bridge with heavy traffic.

  • AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen

    16

    Hotel

were it located closer to the city, then this architectural curiosity on the outskirts of town would certainly merit higher ratings – the views are spectacular.
