  • Luxury Walks: Plaza-Midwood with Liz

Hey ya'll, welcome to Charlotte! A great place for young people, largest city in NC & capital of "the New South". Here's the scoop on the coolest hood around.

  • Plaza Midwood

Stroll down Central Ave & up your street cred. You can grab ice cream, go antiquing, browse an art gallery, eat some ribs & get a tattoo- all on the same block!

  • Zada Jane's Corner Cafe

My favorite for a locally-sourced, organic Southern breakfast- omelettes, grits & a big ol' fluffy biscuit. You can even play shuffleboard while you wait!

  • Amelie's French Bakery

Stop in for mid-day treat + French press. You haven't lived until you've had the Salted Caramel Brownie. Open 24 hours, there's always a time for Amelie's!

  • Price's Chicken Coop

    Fried Chicken

Price's is a local staple. Each bag of fried cholesterol (you can see the grease through the bag) comes with slaw, a roll & hushpuppies.

  • Bechtler Museum of Modern Art

    Art Museum

Head downtown to the Bechtler-This Mario Botta designed building is my favorite for mid-20th-century modern art. Check out the glittering Firebird out front!

  • Soul Gastrolounge

End your day at my favorite spot for late night drinks & tapas. It’s got a cozy feel, handcrafted cocktails and a great view of the Charlotte skyline.
